I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July Celebration! We honored our Declaration of Independence with friends and it was lovely.
We also spent the 4th of July Week this year having our vintage barn renovated. Originally constructed in the 1870s to serve as a dairy farm, this historic structure has lasted the test of time and to honor it and its history, we reinforced its north side. It’s our small way of paying tribute to a special way of life centered around animals.
Marvin Schwartz is a Master Amish Craftsman-Conservationist, known for restoring historic barns (see his great work on Facebook under AB Schwartz Restorations). Here is his son Marv, Jr., with his son, Jayden, to his left, and his colleagues, Miguel and Rocky, to his right. All of them worked on our barn.
