Have You Ever Felt Rushed in the Following Sense?

Hello Friends and Family!

Have you ever felt rushed in the following sense?

I went to the market the other day and saw pumpkins and mums on display in front of the store. This struck me odd. It struck me as, too soon. Especially with the late arrival of summer in our neck of the woods.

Here I am enjoying the beautiful summer days of August, and, whammo, I am confronted with images of fall!.  I love the fall, don’t get me wrong, but I also want to savor the lazy days of summer as this special time of year comes to a close. When I was a kid, we always went back to school after Labor Day, but now, it seems, most of the kids I know are already back in the classroom. Daily life seems to moving faster than ever, don’t you think?

But, then, the other day, I also saw feathers instead of fur. Out and about at the edge of the woods and even closer in were young turkeys, one of the quintessential symbols of fall and the season of thankfulness.

I am thankful for the beauty and bounty of nature and for my four-leggeds, no matter what time of the year.  And, I hope you are, too!
